How it began
Founder and designer Apoorva Kumar is a former IT professional who fulfilled her life long dream of making a career in fashion. She left her IT life behind and pursued a design program at the Los Angeles School of Design and Merchandising. She ventured further and Graduated from The London College of Fashion. This is where Apoorva got Maximum real world fashion exposure.
Apoorva, from a young age has always had a deep connection with traditional Indian textiles and craftsmanship. With her love for these Indian fabrics and her arsenal of fashion knowledge she now intends to glorify these national treasures with her project ‘Armadio’.
Armadio’ is an initiative to incorporate a perfect mix of latest trends, luxury fabrics, finesse, detailing, interesting silhouettes, cuts, Indian traditional weaves and culture all under one roof. It aims to be a one of a kind multi designer store where every customer who walks in understands the unique sensibilities of every designer and gets a complete sense of style and quality.
Feroza Dalal is the leading consultant in retail operations focusing specifically on merchandising, planning and buying. With her extensive years of experience with India’s leading designer stores, Feroza has contributed her expertise to stores like Amara, Mogra, Patine and Jhelum, Araha, and Coutureyard and consulted designers like Monica and Nidhi. She currently consults designer stores like Angasutra, Deval, Mairah, Kashish InFiore, Julie by Julie Shah, Sasya, and Indian Artizans and now Armadio in Bangalore. Feroza under the 6 Degree platform has guided and mentored several designers and retail staff at all levels.
